Weekend Treasure Hunt

Flea Market Treasures

We were blessed this past weekend to spend time with our daughter,  son-in-law, and grandson.  We had a wonderful time talking and playing games on Friday evening, and lots of fun antiquing on Saturday.  We found lots of pretty things, here are a few of my favorites.  We went to two antiques shops in the area, and to the local flea market.  The flea market is where I found these treasures.

Cold Handle Skillet

This is a very large skillet, measuring 26 inches long and 13 inches across.  I have a couple of smaller ones like it, hanging by the fireplace.  This is a good find

Wool or Cotton Carders

I love these old carders.  Who knows, someday I might even use them.

Sewing Box, Photo, Black Crystal, and Pineapple Doily

The man I bought the crystal from told me it was a good piece.  I have never bought black crystal before; but I do think it is pretty.

Old Soap and Costume Jewelry

The old box of toilet soap is precious, not valuable, but a good find nevertheless.  The string of pearls, rhinestone bracelet, and rhinestone pearl pin are only costume jewelry but are really pretty.

The greatest treasure of all was spending time with our daughter, son-in-law, and grandson.  Just priceless!

  2. Your treasures are awesome. I am jealous of the hand carders though. I used to have some when we had sheep and then sold them when we moved never dreaming I would want or need a pair again. Now I spin and I could use some. I will have to go check out my local antique store. Danny might even know where I can find some. Have a great week full of blessings and God's love.
